Some funds invite people to nominate non-profits they think should apply. If someone has nominated you, we’ll email you to let you know, along with the name of the fund.
The email comes from ActionFunder HQ (hello@actionfunder.org), with the subject line “You’ve received a nomination for [fund name] on ActionFunder”. The email takes you to the fund page, where you’ll find an Apply now button.
- Already on ActionFunder? The email goes to the Admins in your account. You won’t get one if a project of yours is already applied to that fund.
- Not on ActionFunder yet? The email goes to the address the person who nominated you gave us.
A nomination is an invitation to apply. If you have a project that suits the fund, we’d encourage you to put it forward.
What to do next
- Read the fund page. Check the criteria, the area it covers and the deadline. Reading a fund page: criteria and key deadlines
- Sign in, or sign up. If your organisation isn’t on ActionFunder yet, create a free account and complete your profile. How to sign up as a non-profit
- Apply with a suitable project. How you apply depends on the type of fund:
- Classic fund: publish a project that matches the fund’s criteria and it’s applied automatically. How matching works
- Active Apply fund: click Apply now on the fund page. How to apply to an Active Apply fund
- Track your application from your project’s Manage page. Tracking your applications
Apply before the fund’s Deadline.
No suitable project?
You don’t have to apply. A nomination doesn’t commit you to anything. If the fund doesn’t fit your work right now, you can leave it.
