You can decline a funding offer from your project’s Funding offers tab. Declining won’t affect your chances of being funded in the future, and your project stays live for other funds. You can’t undo it, though, so be sure first.
How to decline
- Click Projects in the left-hand menu, then Manage on the project.
- Open the Funding offers tab.
- Click Decline on the offer.
- Confirm that you want to decline.
The offer moves to the Application history tab with the status Offer declined. Application history statuses explained
What happens next
- Your project stays live. It keeps matching with new funds as they launch.
- Your future chances are unaffected. Declining an offer doesn’t count against you or your organisation.
- Your other applications carry on. Declining one offer doesn’t withdraw your project from any other fund. They stay in your Funding Applications tab.
- Your funder is told. The funder gets an email to say you’ve responded to their offer. You aren’t asked for a reason.
Thinking of declining because something has changed?
