How many projects can I create?

Updated on November 6, 2026

As many as you like. Each project just has to be a separate piece of work, with its own goal, budget and timeframe.

One project, many funds

You don’t have to create a new project for each fund. ActionFunder submits your project to every live fund whose criteria it meets, so one well-written project can reach several funders at once. How matching works

Active Apply funds work differently: you apply to them yourself from the fund page, with a new project or one you already have. What is an Active Apply fund?

When to create more than one

Create separate projects when you have different pieces of work to fund. For example:

  • a garden club buying tools in spring and running a harvest festival in autumn
  • a youth group running a summer sports programme and buying a minibus

You can also split a big piece of work into smaller projects. If a grant on ActionFunder would only cover part of your costs, you can create another project for the rest. Make sure each project is distinct, with its own activities, timeline and costs, so the same work isn’t funded twice.
