If you don&#8217;t accept or decline it in that time, it expires. If you think you&#8217;ll take longer, contact our team before the 14 days are up.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why there&#8217;s a time limit<\/h2>\n<p>Once an offer expires, the funding can be offered to another project.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens when an offer expires<\/h2>\n<p>The offer leaves your <strong>Funding offers<\/strong> tab and shows in <strong>Application history<\/strong> as <strong>Offer expired<\/strong> (&#8220;This funding offer expired before it was accepted&#8221;). <a href=\"https:\/\/help.actionfunder.org\/non-profits\/help\/application-history-statuses-explained\/\">Application history statuses explained<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Your project stays live.<\/strong> It keeps matching with funds, and your other applications carry on.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The money goes back to the fund<\/strong>, so the funder can offer it to another project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Missed the deadline?<\/strong> Contact us to ask for the offer to be reissued. Where it&#8217;s appropriate, we can do this, and the more notice you give us, the better. Once an offer has expired, we can&#8217;t guarantee the funding hasn&#8217;t been offered to another project.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to avoid it<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Act on the email straight away.<\/strong> Add hello@actionfunder.org as a safe sender so offers don&#8217;t land in spam.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Watch for the reminder.<\/strong> We email you the day before an offer expires.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Complete your due diligence early.<\/strong> You can&#8217;t accept an offer while your profile is incomplete.
