You set it in weeks or months, up to 50, on step 3 of your project (<strong>Delivery plan<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What it covers<\/h2>\n<p>The clock starts when the funding reaches you, not when you publish the project or when a funder selects it. Your timeframe should include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the time to spend the funding and run your activities<\/li>\n<li>the time to achieve the impact you&#8217;ve described<\/li>\n<li>a little time at the end to gather results for your impact survey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why it matters<\/h2>\n<p>If your project is funded, your timeframe sets your project&#8217;s due date, shown in the <strong>Your actions<\/strong> panel under <strong>Deliver your project on time<\/strong>. Once you mark your project as complete, your impact survey is due 14 days later. We&#8217;ll email reminders.<\/p>\n<p>So be realistic. A timeframe that&#8217;s too short leaves you overdue. One that&#8217;s too long can make a funder wonder about the pace of the project.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to set it<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to step 3 of your project (<strong>Delivery plan<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>Delivery timeframe<\/strong>, enter a number in <strong>Number of<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <strong>Weeks<\/strong> or <strong>Months<\/strong> under <strong>Period<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The number can&#8217;t be more than 50.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips for a realistic timeframe<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Count the whole project.<\/strong> Include setup, such as ordering equipment or recruiting participants, as well as the activities themselves.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Think about the seasons.<\/strong> A gardening project that starts in November may not show results until spring.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Allow for payment.<\/strong> Funding usually arrives within 7 days of passing due diligence, so plan your start date from then. <a href=\"https:\/\/help.actionfunder.org\/non-profits\/help\/how-long-will-it-take-to-get-the-funds-in-our-account\/\">How long will it take to get paid?<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Check the fund page.<\/strong> Some funds show a <strong>Funded projects to be delivered by<\/strong> date.
