It outlines your purpose, how decisions are made, and who is responsible for running things. Depending on your organisation\u2019s structure, this might be called:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A constitution (for unincorporated associations or charities)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Articles of association (for CICs or companies limited by guarantee)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A trust deed (for charitable trusts)<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask for this so we can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Confirm your organisation\u2019s charitable or community purpose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand how your group is structured and governed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that you\u2019re eligible to receive grant funding<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc If you\u2019re a small or informal group that doesn\u2019t have a formal constitution yet, let us know \u2014 we\u2019re happy to guide you on what\u2019s needed. This helps us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand the size and financial health of your organisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm your income and how funds are used<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with funder requirements around transparency<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 If you&#8217;re a small or newer group and don\u2019t yet have formal accounts, that\u2019s okay. Instead, please provide a simple breakdown of your income and expenditure for the last financial year.
