This process should be risk-appropriate (i.e. tailored to the funder&#8217;s risk appetite) and proportionate (i.e. to the size of the grant).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Due Diligence process considers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>: Verifying applicant&#8217;s mission, vision and services align with the grant&#8217;s purpose.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compliance:<\/strong> Ensuring applicant adheres to relevant legal and regulatory standards, including the Charities SORP (FRS 102) and other financial reporting requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delivery:<\/strong> Confirm applicant is set-up to successfully deliver services to beneficiaries consistent with funders expectations&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ActionFunder takes a &#8216;positive &amp; proactive&#8217; approach to Due Diligence, supporting applicants through the process, rather than a more &#8216;stand-back&#8217; manner, identifying reasons for potential rejection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assessment Framework<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Profile &amp; Governance &#8211; <\/strong>Ensure organisations\u2019 status, purpose and governance comply with legal requirements and Funder eligibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regulatory Filings &#8211; <\/strong>Ensure organisation is properly registered with relevant regulator(s) and in good standing with all filings and submissions (as relevant)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annual Report &amp; Accounts &#8211; <\/strong>Ensure organisation is financially stable, uses funds responsibly, and complies with legal requirements (i.e. SORP) and funder eligibility<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Online Presence &amp; Adverse Media &#8211; <\/strong>Ensure organisation has website and social-media with up-to-date content relevant to the application, and no sanctions or adverse media flags on organisation, trustees and key staff<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our \u2018Core\u2019 Checks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Profile &amp; Governance<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Not-for-profit status confirmed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Objects do not conflict with eligibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Governing document signed, dated and consistent across touchpoints<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bank KYC\/KYB\/AML checks&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regulatory Filings<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Charity \/ Company number matches application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organisation operates in required location<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Number of Trustees \/ Directors meets governing document requirement, not more than 50% related<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Required documents not regularly overdue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annual Report &amp; Accounts<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Signed accounts from most recent financial year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Income within limits defined by funder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Material fluctuations in I&amp;E adequately explained<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independently examined \/ audited with no material concerns raised<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Online Presence &amp; Adverse Media<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Website and social media unambiguously relate to applicant organisation and are kept up-to-date with content relevant to the potential grant award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reference to organisation in other reputable media<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No sanctions list or adverse media flags on organisation, trustees \/ directors or senior staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need help?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions about due diligence, your Customer Success Manager is here to support you.
