This means that some projects will need to be rejected. Rejecting a project is a normal part of the decision-making process\u2014and helps ensure your funding is directed where it will have the greatest impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article explains the two main approaches to managing rejections, how to reject a project, and what happens next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Two ways to manage rejections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two main ways to approach project rejection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Review and reject as you go<\/strong> &#8211; As soon as a project is matched with your fund, you can review it and reject it straight away if it doesn\u2019t meet your criteria.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wait until the fund closes<\/strong> &#8211; Once the fund has closed, you can review all matched projects, score them, and reject any that don\u2019t make the cut.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both approaches are valid and you may choose to do a mixture of both &#8211; it depends on your preferences and workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to reject a project<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To reject a project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to your Fund Match List<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find the project you wish to reject<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the \u2018Reject\u2019 button<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The non-profit will automatically receive an email informing them that their application was unsuccessful. Their project will stay on ActionFunder and may be matched with a different fund in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I undo a rejection?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. If you change your mind or reject a project in error, just contact your Customer Success Manager as soon as possible. They\u2019ll be able to reinstate the project to your match list, so it\u2019s available for review and funding again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens after a rejection?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The organisation is notified by email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Their project remains live on ActionFunder and visible to other funders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They can still be matched with and apply to other funds<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rejecting a project doesn\u2019t remove the organisation from the platform or prevent them from seeking funding elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Need help?
